Scraping/grinding and also sliding metal noise under engine when steering.

Featured Replies

I have an Intermittent scraping/grinding sound coing from what seems to sound like the area of the front left wheel whilst steering sometimes and it's worse and more often when turning right.

The grinding/scraping noise is worse when going faster when swerving but also is bad when driving around a round about or street corner at low speed at times, it is a rotational sound.

Before the sound starts I hear something under the engine.... like a piece of loose metal sliding along other metal (exaclty like loose heat shield would sound moving on an exhaust) and it slides left and right and when it slides to the left and I  am turning right I can hear the grinding noise really loudly but I can also hear the grinding noise in the same place after this sliding bit slides to the right which is odd.

Took it to garage and they said it was the front brake reaction bushes after viewing it when I was there so I had both of them replaced, had both front discs and pads replaced too, the front left one was scorn aswell. but I still have the noise.
