Fusion subframe alignment

Featured Replies

Hi All, Im going to need to renew the ARB bushes on my fusion 2 (2005). Is this a subframe off job or can you lower it enough on the bolts to get at these? Im also worried about alignment afterwards. Yes I will mark it and pay attention to the witness marks and dirt but Id feel more confident with the alignment tool. The tool for the fusion does look different from that of say the Mondeo in that it has an extended side piece that locates under one of the bolts. Is this simply to stop it dropping out because the usual clips dont work? The Ford tool appears to be unobtainable but does anyone have one? In particular is the pin itself the 20/22mm taper as used in the general ford kits or is it something different?

Thanks

Mike
