Ambient light front roof console strips 61 plate zetec

Hi, 

has anyone managed to switch on the two front roof console led light strips with software on a 61 plate zetec, I have taken the cover off and all the wiring etc in connected. The only wire that is not is the green one coming down to a blank slot on the blanking plate where the titanium would have the dimmer control colour change switches. I have one to fit but they’ve plu is not the same? Bouts a comple console from a 12 plate tit x... 

anyome got  a  61 tit with dimmer?
