Problems with A/C on 2031 Focus Titanium

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Sorry this is a long story but will try to cut it short.

I bought a second hand 2013 Ford Focus Titanium from my local Ford dealer in June this year after having it for two weeks I realised the A/C wasn't working in fact it was blowing hot and cold intermittently, I took it back and they agreed to re charge the A/C,  that didn't work still no A/C, they agreed to renew the unit, waited three weeks for the part to come in, they fitted the new unit but still no A/C, they decided it was an electrical fault and to fit a new full wiring harness, the wiring harness is due in next week but I am very apprehensive of what could go  wrong while they are fitting it, although I do trust them 100% I keep thinking I could end up with an expensive brick if something goes wrong while it is being fitted, can someone give their opinions on this please.

BTW I did take the two year Mechanical warranty so thank goodness I did.

Best regards

Josephine

i wouldn't worry  its not a Huge job  more of a fiddly one, why dont you just take a few pics of the Dashboard area of the car  and under the bonnet by   and then when you go to collect it just compare pics.

Thank you for your reply I will do that, I have read it could be the Climate Control unit, I don't know if they have checked that yet, I will ask the service manager when he rings me to say the part is in.

Best regards

Jo

Are they fitting the Titanium with a Flux Capacitor in 2031?  Presumably it's only an option on the Zetec...

On topic though, surely the warranty would cover any breakages if they did accidently damage something while fitting the new AC unit?  The only thing I'd be worried about is plastic rattles, there are a lot of plastic clips to potentially break when removing a dash.
