Focus 1.6VCT thermostat

Featured Replies

I have to change the thermostat on my 2005 mk2 1.6VCT, is it available separately or do I have to buy the complete housing, as they are pricey?

Had mine done last week, and the part cost £42. Not sure if that was for the complete  housing too. ...how much is pricey? Near this figure....If not then that may well be the price if a thermostat on its own.

some got a heated stat, if it has an electrical connection then they cost £110 at ford....  (mine Mk2.5 is like this and the stat links in to engine ecu to control engine temp to get better emissions and economy) when these are dead the fan runs nearly all the time

they come with a gasket in the box... discard it and fit the later thicker one you buy separately (less likely to leak)
