Auto Main Beam stopped working?

Featured Replies

Hi

I noticed the other evening that the auto main beam has stopped working on my Focus mk3.

I have gone through deactivating and reactivating it in the menu and changed the sensitivity setting, but it has not yet worked.  If I operate main beam manually it doesn't switch to auto as it stays on when it should dip.

Any suggestions?

Are the sensors very sensitive to dirt on the windscreen?

Thanks,

Auto main beam is controlled by the camera in the window. You need to have the light switch set to auto, and it should display a light on the screen with an A in the middle of it.

If you manually over-ride the main beam because it doesn't turn off when a car or truck comes towards you, to switch it back on again you push the main beam forwards once and the light with an A will reappear again.

My 2012 Mk3 didn't have the A, only the mk3.5
