Drive belt

Featured Replies

Needing to change the drive belt on my 1.6 duratec/sigma 2008. Is this one with a tensioner or is it a stretch belt type? Also when I look down the very bottom pulleys look like they have 2 belts? Confused.com

They are stretch belts.  2 on your engine, one for alternator and PAS, the other for the AC compressor.

Thanks are they both the same? are they 5 or 6 ribbed and do I need a kit to stretch on?

They are not the same, two different lengths and ribs.  6PK1059 & 5PK868 iirc (but do double check lol)

I've forced a few on without the proper kit, but it would be safer and easier with it, I'm just tight! They sell genuine belt kits with the tools for about £25 on ebay.
