If I was to replace my sync 2 Mac version with sync 3 non-nav, can I run Spotify at and a satnav app from my phone at the same time or is it one or the other?

I suspect it’s one or the other, but wanted to make sure. 

Currebtly on Sync 2 I use the inbuilt satnav and Spotify at the same time. But I can’t currebtly justify spending the amount needed for the baby version of sync 3.

    On SYNC 3 you can switch between Nav and music apps via android Auto, and they will run in parallel, so for example set Waze to navigate, press music icon, start amazon music, then flick back to Waze again, music continues, you get next track pop ups at top of Waze too if I remember correctly.

    I use Apple Carplay with Sync 3 and this lets me run Spotify and Google Maps at the same time.
