Radio code after changing the battery

First post here.

Looks like I need to change the battery on my 1.6 Focus Eco Boost 2012. Would I need a code for the radio after its changed. The manual just says its automatically linked to my vin number and if a message asking for a code comes up. I need to ask the dealer. I am reluctant to change the battery just in case as I cant find a code with all the documents from when I bought the car.

    Focus MK3 radio's do no longer have a radio code. These radio's are also not linked to the VIN number of the car. 

    The battery can be changed without problems.
