What wire end/clip use to connent Ford Focus MK3 head unit connector?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I want to add an aux port to the basic low level audio system's head unit in my Focus. I have the aux port already installed, only the wires between the port and the head unit are missing. From the wiring diagram of the Focus I know which pins I have to use in the head unit's connector. But not sure what kind of wire ends/clips to use to connect the wires properly?! Any idea? I uploaded a photo of the head unit's connector to which I need to connect the wires.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

First you have to determine what the brand and type of the connector is. Most connectors are TYCO (TE connectivity). Based on the brand and type of the connector the correct connector pins can be found at an electronic store (for example Farnell).

Be aware that not all Low Level audio units support an AUX input. I suggest to try it first before installing the wiring permanently.
