Dead battery

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased a 2012 1.4 tdci fiesta which has been in and out of the garage constantly for two weeks as the car is dead every morning, it has had two new alternators and two new batteries. I have found on the etis site that the car has an outstanding field service action  for glow plug control module. Could this be the reason for the dead battery every morning and if so do ford cover the cost of field service actions??  I would be grateful for Any help.

when the new battery has been fitted has the computer been reset to accommodate the new battery? if not, the system will be operating with the previous battery's life expectancy which could be why your new battery keeps dying.

OR, you could have a parasitic draw which isn't common but not unheard of - needs to be monitored to try and locate what's drawing power.
