Fitting sony nav in 2012 pre-face lift

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm currently trying to fit the sony nav system in a mk7 pre face lift

I plugged it all in and used forscan to activate high level branded radio

The radio powered up but would not find a radio station

Also pressing the radio button on the front panel does nothing

The volume was stuck on 0 and wouldn't go up when turning the knob, just showed 0

Bluetooth wouldn't work but I know I need to fit the sync module for that to work as it doesnt work with the original bluetooth box but the plug under the radio for that is different on the car, I have the dash wiring loom from the ST that the radio came from and the grey plug that sits under the radio is different to the car I'm trying to fit it to

It seems the mk7.5 facelift has a hs can and I can feed to the plug but the mk7 pre face lift doesn't

Has anyone been able to make the mk7.5 sony nav system work on a mk7?

Any help is appreciated...

Hi - have you tried your old facia to see if that works with the new radio unit?
