synthetic oil

Featured Replies

The salesman that sold me my 2018 Focus told me not to use synthetic oil in it. That sounds completely ridiculous to me. He said it was because someone might put regular oil in it at a later date, and that would be a problem. What I've heard is that it isn't an issue switching between synthetic and regular motor oil.

What engine is it?

A 2018 Focus should be filled with 5w-20 fully synthetic oil from the factory. I'd definitely not recommend using semi-synthetic or mineral oil in any Focus engine

Salesman in not knowing what he's talking about shocker :rolleyes1:

The salesman is a total kn0bend! :chair:

oil is far closer to oil, than the marketeers like us to believe..

they use a process to remove crap from ordinary oil and call it synthetic... its not rocket science just higher quality

use oil that's meets the spec in the handbook.... NEVER believe a word on the internet and even less so from some half wit at a garage
