Is it possible for the power's to be to create sub forums for the different Focus mk's as I feel like if you don't have the perticular model then you won't have the relevant experience of it.

I've not spent  much time on the forums lately as they are more geared towards the MK3 and MK3.5 and because I have never owned any of these cars.

I understand that people change their cars for newer models but I honestly think that sub forums would be the way forward considering that some folk have MK1 Focus' and some have MK2 Focus' etc etc

What's your opinion's guys ?

Yes, I think this would be a useful idea for all the various models, not just Focus.

Yep it might be a fair bit of work for the team to setup if it involves moving topics/threads with relevant content but is definitely a great idea if the mods/admin have the time.

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea.  There are already too many sub forums on here which make it a bit confusing to navigate and find the correct place to post for new members.  Plus it means a lot of posts get missed by people that have the knowledge to answer them.

I think it would be a better idea to have the car model available in the app like it is on the PC but guessing that's not possible.  Also would like the option of a title header of 'Mk2' etc when you go to start a new thread in the Focus section.  Same as there's a header of 'for sale' in the selling sections.

Yeh a tag for each model would help in the title to be chosen during posting would narrow down search results.

Further thoughts on this after sleeping on it. I use other forums where this is the norm and find it easier to specifically target searches etc. However as mentioned above there is already a lot of content on the forums so a huge job in sorting it out. Perhaps it could be made compulsory to include model series  in the tags or as @TomsFocus suggests, include another field for this, which would make searches etc easier?

Scratch my post above we already have it and I've just used it in my latest post but maybe it should be set as required. Searching MK2 in search by tags brought my post as the first result so works well.
