iPod problems

Featured Replies

Just bought a 2011 fiesta.

The iPod registers no problem, charges, can you the selection on dash etc but when I hit play it only uses the iPhone speakers, does not play through the car speakers.  Can ideas?

Hi,are you plugging in via just the usb or wth usb and audio jack?  on mine i had to update the firmware to get audio via the usb.  Below is the one i used

May not be the same issue but may be worth trying the update

Chris

I am not an expert on ipods.  are you connecting it by bluetooth or through a cable to the usb socket for the car stereo

I was typing whilst MusicalChris posting

We use an ipod in a 2010 fiesta and have it plugged into both the USB socket and the audio jack. Works fine

Also make sure you use an original apple cable. Some of the cheap aftermarket ones people buy are only good enough for charging...
