disable airbag system

Featured Replies

hi all,  Im going to be doing my instrument cluster tomorrow and as my nose is going to be 1/4 of an inch from the drivers airbag as I undo the screws and remove the instrument cluster I thought I had better disable the air bags,  How does one do it on a 57 plate focus (and how do I enable them when im finished)

many thanks

disconnect the battery and wait 15 to 20 mins then you should be good to go make sure you have your radio code when reconnecting

No need to disable airbags unless you're unplugging them to remove the steering wheel.

Will need to reset one touch windows and radio if you let the battery off.

how do I reset the windows lol

Hold the window button all the way up, and then for an extra couple of seconds so it can learn where the window stops.

I really wouldn't bother letting the battery off to remove clocks though.
