rear windscreen washer

Featured Replies

My rear washer on a Fiesta has stopped working. I cleaned the nozzle, nothing, disconnected the nozzle, nothing, disconnected pipe from pump, pump is pumping fluid, tried blowing through from both ends of pipe, still no flow from pipe. has anyone experienced a kink in the pipe?

Probably frozen inside. Have you been filling it with pure water? Or have been using a low concentration of anti-freeze screenwash?

The car has been in the warm sunshine and I have used a high concentration screenwash

When you blow through the pipe, are you able to blow or is it blocked? If you can blow through it, is it definitely coming out of the other end? If you disconnect the nozzle, is it coming out of the pipe?

If you can blow through it, but nothing comes out of the other end of the pipe, i'd be looking in any areas the pipe flexes (tailgate!) and seeing if I can find a puddle of screenwash. The scented stuff (also brightly coloured) might help you find it 😛

When blowing from both ends of pipe nothing comes out the other end making me think it is a kink in the pipe. No puddles are appearing when the pump is connected and running.
