Electric windows, should they...

...clear the slightest bit of moisture when wound down?

My 2007 Focus Ghia has electric windows all round,  i would like to think at this time of year i could wind them down then up again to clear rainwater off them, mine come back up as wet as they went down meaning i either have to stop and wipe them or wind them down at junctions to see. I was just wondering if there's something missing, like a squeegee type strip. My old Mondy used to clear rainwater, to great effect.

My fiesta doesn't clear the water when it's put down. Either that's the way it was or the seals between the glass has come a little away from touching the glass and not making contact on the water.

I'm gonna have to investigate this annoying problem when i get chance, in daylight.

Don't bother.

It is exactly as it should be on this type of vehicle. The window rubbers do simply not have a seal to clear rainwater from the windows.

You could start a trend and fit some side window wipers! 😉
