faultry seatbelts

Featured Replies

Throughout the warranty I've been complaining ( given up now ) to my dealer that reasonably regularly the two front seat belts on my MK 5 Mondeo engage when coming to a gradual halt ( e.g. road junction ) and then keep me clamped to the seat back making it nearly impossible on many occasions for the driver to see traffic coming from my right and make a safe exit. I have to disenage the belt and replace it when I start to move off. I think this is dangerous, but the garage sees nothing wrong just saying there is no adjustment which can be made ( although on one occasion they said they did replace the driver's belt but no change to the problem ). Anyone else share this problem and perhaps have a solution to it ?.
