Headlight issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

Yesterday my partner got home from work in the evening and neither headlights were working.

It was on auto lights. So switched to headlight setting. Still won't turn on. However when we turned them to 0 they came on.

Any ideas what can cause this and if it's an easy fix?

Thanks Becky

It was the Daytime lights coming on when you turned the other lights off. Your headlights have four bulbs; Daytime running lights (DRL), sidelights, dipped beam, and main beam.

What's happening is you're going from dipped beam on auto lights to DRL's. First check make sure the bulbs aren't blown and also check the fuse.

I had both headlight bulbs blow within minutes of each other. Replaced and all ok, but I was convinced it could not be the bulbs.
