Clicking noise

Featured Replies

ford smax 2016 automatic titnium sport had 2 drive shafts replaced month ago because clicking noise was getiing worse, but unfortunately noise is coming back after replacement, any idea what that could be, car is still under warranty, and garage is trying to avoid repair or I don't know what is the problem

Does the clicking increase with road speed ? If the car is still under warranty then I don't see why the garage is trying to avoid fixing it!

Very doubtful it will be this but have you checked your tyres ? Anything wedged in the tread can cause 'clicking' as you drive along, I had an annoying 'clicking' as I drove along, turns out I had a hunk of steel embedded in my tyre, it hadn't punctured the tyre but that was the cause of the 'clicking'
