Any ideas on how much this would cost

Featured Replies

Hi guys I recently found my old focus for sale with crash damage. I am tempted to buy the cae back but not sure on how much it would cost to fix.

Thanks guys

Only looks as though a back end of a van or truck has caught it and dragged when cornering (I've done this 🙄) So I'd say about £200-£300 replacing the door with a second hand one from a breakers and a respray, hae the dent removed in the rear panel

That rear quarter and sill will write it off as a Cat S I'd imagine.  Door and bumper is easy and cheap to replace but that won't be.  I'd estimate double Ryan's myself!

Also worth checking if there is any suspension damage, although the wheel does appear to have to away with it ok.

I say about the same but is it worth it

I think the wheel has taken a hit too, the tyre is flat and the rim looks a little bent. The panel gap on the boot is also out of line, might be more damage than you think

It would cost far more than the car is worth (in money value anyway).

Given the number of Mk 1's on Auto Trader under £500 have to agree that this would not seem to be a goer from a purely economic viewpoint. Of course, the car may hold some special sentimental value for you? I once knew a guy who did something similar because it was where he and his wife exchanged their first kiss!

I'd be more likely to sell the car for that reason!😂

If its for sentimental value, be prepared for a big bill, i dont think that is going to give you any change from a grand. Even done on the cheap.
