Sign Recognition

Featured Replies

My two week old focus comes with sign recognition, the only problem is i'm only getting speed signs on the small display screen and the hood up display. I have looked at the settings for sign recognition and every thing appears to be ok, the small display screen shows two roundles but only one appears to work showing the speed limit. I have never never noticed any other types of sign appearing on the screen.Am I doing something wrong in the settings ?

Thanks

The second circle, according to my handbook, is supposed to display a limited number of additional road signs when applicable, in addition to the speed limit shown in the first circle. I've only seen mine operate once in 12 months, to display a "no overtaking" sign - though come to think of it I don't see many of that type of sign these days, they just rely on continuous white lines.

Thanks for your reply

I suppose I will just have to wait until I see a new sign. I thought it was meant to show the two way traffic signs , the ones showing red and black circles.

I was also under the impression that the sign changes colour and fades as the new sign appears.
