Hello...first time here! I have conflicting responses from Fordon this: Does my Ford warranty cover UK/EU breakdown/recovery last the full duration of warranty or just one year? My car is a 2017 Galaxy.  Thanks in advance 

Just a year, renewed when you get a service thats my understanding.

As far as I understand, It's just one year at a time, it renews when/if you have a main dealer service completed.  

This is causing problems for people on longlife, 2 year servicing. 

Yep, as both already said. Breakdown cover is for the first 12 months. Thereafter if you have ford service it's included again for 12 months. 

You also get it extended if you have a convenience check at 12 months if you're on the new 18,000/2 year service regime.

Just had a reply from Hendy Ford in Horsham; (I bought my 67 plate Galaxy through them on Ford Direct’ 16 months ago). They insist the Ford Assistance runs in parallel with my 3 year Ford warranty, although my first service will be due at 2 years/18000 miles. On that basis, breakdown cover would update then anyway. However, my manual shows a 1 year only cover from new! What happens to my cover during year 2? Anyone else as confused as me? Also...what is a 12 month convenience check??!!

I seem to remember that to some extent you get a better package with a Ford Direct vehicle than a new one. I think FD cars come with 2 years breakdown cover from purchase.
