Hey everyone.

I may have joined back in 2017 but i'm still pretty much a new member with barely any posts but will be on this more regular now. I have a 2013 Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost zetec (63 plate revised coolant system) owned it for 9 months loving it so far had no major issues. Well maintained she is almost at 50k when I bought it with 33k so you can tell I drive a lot and needed the 1.0 for the fuel economy. Not only for fuel economy I have been slowly modding it over time.

So far the full induction kit is done, airtec stage 2 induction kit, primary and secondary silicon pipes, airtec hard alloy turbo pipe. Just need to get the crossover then that's all done. Oil catch can because it does take in a lot of oil through the intake which isn't great for direct injection. In terms of exhaust mods just a cheap £85 hornet backbox from eBay which looks the part and doesn't sound too tinny just a nice deep sound to it with a universal resonator welded in as we all know Scorpion, Miltek etc is over £300 for the whole cat back so I wanted to save a bit of money somewhere. installed the decat a couple of days ago also from eBay for £110 bargain if you ask me doesn't look cheap welds are nice, no leaks between the flanges. If anyone wants the links to the exhaust parts just ask. Airtec torque mount so no more wheel hop and it will take the strain off the gearbox and driveshafts. Talking about the gearbox as it is the 99bhp IB5, well known to be the weakest link with these ecoboosts I have changed the transmission fluid with my last oil change at 46k to hopefully help it last long until in the future I might swap it out with the ST IB6 gearbox conversion very expensive will need some opinions on this one. 35mm lowering springs. Airtec duel port bov. As for the tuning I currently have a Racechip S which makes it feel a lot smoother to drive and gives it an extra 20hp and 34nm of torque not much but noticeable (going to sell it soon for £70 originally cost £110). Cosmetic mods not much has been done just a zetec s grille, wind deflectors, cheap boost gauge in the air vent. Planning on getting the full zetec s bodykit as I just have the standard zetec. Next thing i'll be buying is the stage 1 voodoo remap bringing her up to 155bhp and 180 ft/lb of torque (244nm) getting really excited about it.

So that is everything about my car folks :) I am open to suggestions and if there is any common issues any other ecoboost owners have experienced modified or not. I already know the gear box is weak, the rods and pistons are only good up to 200hp and 190 ft/lb before you start running into problems. Heard about issues of the cylinder head cracking and causing fires on the ecoboost and even the ST.
