Engine malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I know it’s been asked a few times but just wanted to narrow things down with my symptoms!!

Bought car in April just gone. Had egr and pipes replaced shortly afterwards as it was loosing power and giving engine malfunction light. No problems up until 2 weeks ago when I did let it get low on diesel. It then gave the engine malfunction light and loss of power. Managed to get home after turning it off and on but the amber engine service light then stayed on.

Took it to a garage who gave a egr fault code replaced with new part and the engine malfunction light still came on. Replaced with existing part and car drive ok for about 30 miles and then gave the usual grief.

Any advice going forward would be greatly appreciated. Egr valve, DPF, turbo etc?

What code did you get?
