Been thinking of getting a newer focus and been told the ecoboost is the way forward. The MK3's have had no end of issues, various engines (failures on several different petrol unit as well as serious drivability issues with the 2.0 TDCi 163 BHP, clutch failures at ridiculously short mileages and an air condenser that seems to be made from melted chocolate i.e. it seem rather susceptible to damage and springing a leak.
