Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking the forums ever since I ordered my new fiesta last month. So now that I'm due to receive my Fiesta Zetec S this Thursday I thought I would sign up and say "Hi"!

I'm getting the 1.6 TDCI which I haven't tested so I'm not too sure what to expect performance wise. I've heard it's good for mpg but a little slow, can anyone confirm this? I currently drive a 1.2 Skoda Fabia, so I'm hoping the fiesta will have much better acceleration and overall pace. I would have gone for the petrol if it was in the same insurance group as the diesel.

I'm pretty much obsessed with looking at pictures and videos of the Zetec S, so if anybody has any especially in panther black would you mind posting some?

I pick mine up next weekend a Zetec S petrol, I have always had diesel cars 330 BMW and still a c270 Merc selling to replace my van I have put in as scrappage for my Zetec S, so I will have to get used to making the gear box work apposed to using torque.

Seems to be loads of people on here with issues but with a popular car their will always be the odd gremlin lets hope we do not get problems

hi guys welcome, i am one of those who have lots of problems but mine was one of the first one's. All sorted now and really enjoying the car had merc's in the past and i must say i do not miss them.Some great idea's form this forum so enjoy.

What kind of problems were you having? I'm hoping it will be more reliable than my Skoda which has been a nightmare since I bought it. At least with it being a new car most problems will be under warranty and I'll just trade it in after 3 years.

This is my first diesel so I'm not too sure what to expect. I'm counting down the days and the hours until I get it - expected 11am on Thursday. New '10 plate too :P
