Need help replacing cornering bulb on MK4 Mondeo

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a MK4 Mondeo Titanium X on a 59 plate and need to replace the H1 cornering bulb.I know how to remove the headlamp cluster but for the cornering light there is a rubber cover. After removing this I cannot see how i can get the bulb out?It seems to be held in by screws but i could be wrong.Has any one any idea how to get the bulb out?

If you look at the lower screw just above it you will see a black plastic release tab. Squeeze it and the wiring block will pull back and off the bulb. With that out the way you can swap the bulb and then slide the wiring block back on to the bulb. You'll see the silver plastic prongs help line the block up when you slide it on.

Changed the cornering light bulb this morning and it all went well following Mark M's guide.Took me 10 minutes start to finish. The cornering bulb is a H1 type.Make sure you don't touch the bulb when fitting or wear surgical gloves like I did. Thanks again for the tip.
