Modeo '08 Cigar Lighters Stopped Working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

hoping for some help here... I have a 2.0 Diesel '08 plate Mondeo. It has the front and rear cigar lighters.

Both have suddenly stopped working. However, the fuse is NOT blown (and also replaced). The light that lights up the lighters comes on when the lights come on also.

There is no obstructions within the sockets blocking connection and the appliances I've used DO work in other cars, so I know the problem are with my vehicle.

I do a nextbase dashcam hard-wired in the cigar lighter fuse, but I have removed this and still no luck,,

Any help appreciated!

The socket lights are on a seperate live circuit but do earth via contacts against the side of the sockets so at least you know the earth side is fine.
Silly question (possibly) but have you checked the correct fuse?

Sent from my SM-G965F (S9+)

I had this problem, might of been me being thick! But the picture of the fuse box under the dash is upside down
