Spark Plugs

Featured Replies

Hi all i drive a fiesta 1.3i endure e engine petrol on a 51 2001 plate. what it is just had my spark plugs replaced today so iam just wondering what improvents will i see and how will it help my car cheers alan.

New spark plugs will provide a better spark thus providing better combustion in the engine so the engine will run at its best. You may not notice any differences in performance etc unless the old plugs were shot and you'd had problems with juddering and misfiring etc.

There may be other things it will help but others will be along to help more than i can.

Me old ones were abit dirty like and had been in a very long time does new spark plugs give you better mpg.

I can't say for definate if they will but if an engine is running at its best then it should give its maximum mpg possible. :)

I checked the condistion of the old plug when they came out and its like a brown white colour went on some website and it says if its that colour then the engine is running good.

new spark plugs always help an engine run more efficiently especially as the gap on the old ones may not have been right. u will notice the mpg goes up and combustion is better. zoe

Performance wise i don't really have the quick car out the lot  1.3i endure e engine all ive noiced is starts up alot better getting better mpg and its a lot smoother to me the car is quick only ever had two cars scence pasting me driveing test nearly 3 years ago first car 1.1 clio 1992 so thats why i think my fiesta is quick :D

Checked my plugs today, They had only been in for approximately six months and the colour of the core is white. Dont think this is right but dont know how to alter the fuel mixture, this is the second time I have had to replace them in 12 months. Once replaced with new ones the car runs very smooth.
