Advice needed after spoiler upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just upgraded the rear spoiler on my Fiesta to the ST version. While it mounted correctly, the wiring for the brake light and the pipe for the washer jet are now short. Whats the easiest way of fixing the issue? Seen some pictures of Fiesta ST's and they have an "extension" pipe for the washer jet, since the car was bought that way I'm assuming that the "extension" should have a part number or am I wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The wirings really easy to extend if you've got some wire and crimps knocking about. Just cut the plug off (leaving a couple inches of wire to crimp onto). Then splice a few inches of wire in between what you cut off.

The washer hose is Ford part no.1760946 as far as I can see.  Shouldn't cost more than a tenner.

Done this a while back myself, exactly as Luke says although i just got a bit of hose and a connector from the local car spares shop. Really is an easy fix.

When I got one done a few years back there was just enough spare in the existing hose and wiring to make the connection, is there any play in the hose and wire to make it reach?

I soldiered the wires together and brought a bit of pipe that was the same diameter and connected them

Thanks for the advice everyone. Managed to get it all sorted however the useless "Ford approved" autobody shop made a mess up with the colour that they painted the spoiler so now I am waiting for them to respray it. These are the photos of the spoiler on the car with the color being off.
