MK8 Dual Dash Cam

Featured Replies

I have been looking at getting a dash cam installed into my MK8 ST-Line, I have found a camera I like, the Viofo A129 Duo

I want to make use of the park recording feature, has anyone had any luck with any hardware kits or batteries to make sure the car battery does not deplete?

Thanks,

Any decent parking record camera will have a voltage cut-off ensuring battery isn't drained completely flat so a flat battery shouldn't be an issue.

Had the Thinkware f800 pro in a Mk8 fiesta for 6 months with no issues. It has a voltage cutoff.

I have the A129 duo and it is a great bit of kit, footage and features are brilliant.

If you want to use parking mode then you need to buy the Viofo 3 wire hardwire kit, and it has to be plugged in to the camera and not the GPS base. GPS still works this way.

The kit has a cut off and you can set it to a level you are happy with.

You won't have any issues

I have purchased the A129 Duo this morning as it was on a lightning deal on Amazon. I have also bought the 3 wire hardwire kit.

What do I need to get in terms of fuse taps etc?
