Hi , wonder if anyone can help, on my converse+ display getting the message engine malfunction but no limp mode and no fault codes. Mechanic had previously cleared message but it returned within a week.Any ideas ? Not a major problem at the moment doesn’t effect driving at all but thinking of changing car later in year and obviously doesn’t look good to a potential buyer.   Thanks

Hi mate
Connect OBDII scanner, and try to catch it LIVE.
there are some faults that won't register in the computer memory (momentary faults or, not constant faults).

Some fault codes disappear once the ignition is turned of so get the codes read before the ignition is turned off or do it your self with Forscan a free download and a modified ELM connector you will need a laptop too.
