My Fiesta 1.6 Titanium 2011 is a nightmare!

Up until 6 months ago the car would start one day but the battery would completely drain the next.

Numerous new battery’s and rechargings later...

Now the battery is full but when I turn the key the lights on the dash flicker and there is a clunking noise. There is no engine noise no life in the car at all. When I pull my key out it continues with the awful noises and I have to disconnect the battery to stop it all.

its off to the dealer ASAP but I’m just in a quandary as to what on Earth is going on.

anyone shed any light?

    Could it be the starter solenoid shorting and draining the battery?
