Hello, I have a 65 plate Ford Fiesta and had noticed that my fan was not coming on. On checking under the bonnet, I found the coolant was boiling in the tank. I took it to my local Ford dealership from where I had bought the car new and they did a diagnostic check and told me the car was running perfectly ok but the coolant tank lid was seized so they replaced both the tank and lid and I collected my car. This was 3 days ago, on checking today, I found the coolant still boiling in the tank and the fan not coming on! Has anyone else had this problem and do you know how to fix it? Thanks

The coolant will bubble up in the tank after driving it, definitely very normal and nothing to worry about. Freaked me out the first time I spotted it

If you're temperature gauge goes through the roof then panic

Normal, there's an electric coolant pump that can operate after switching ign off if the ECU determines the engine is to hot after stopping. What you can see is the coolant flowing into the expansion bottle.

we don't know what engine you have (size - petrol/diesel). how is the temperature guage looking.
