Radio wiring loom and aerial fix

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Mondeo 2.0 tdci 140bhp and there are issues with the wiring loom and aerial leads.  The aerial lead has no connection for the CD6000 and was just stuffed in with some sealant around it.

The wiring loom has 6 wires that have been cut and soldered back together in what I would say is a botch job.  They are the speaker wires as far as I can make out.

2 questions....

1. How easy is it to replace the wiring loom that goes into the radio? Or should I get an auto elec to resolder them and tidy it up.

2. What type of connection fits the back of the CD6000 (see pic)?

The aerial is a DIN connector-

Concerning the mangled loom, I'd say get it done properly, nothing worse than botched connections that will drive you nuts in time.
It's worth spending a couple of quid to have it done right.

That's really helpful, thanks.

I'm gonna speak to a couple of local people and see if they can sort it out for me 👍
