Missing Fog Light Cable?

Featured Replies

Hi there. Recently I noticed that my front left fog light doesn't work. I'm not sure why but I've never checked it before and so I presumed that it has always been like that since I bought the car. I bought it after it was refurbished from a Cat C (Which I presume was caused by the original owner) I have attached the original photos taken of the damaged vehicle. Anyway, after realising that the fog light doesn't work I went to Halfords this evening and bought 2 new bulbs. I'm not very good with cars so I looked up a tutorial on how to replace it and it seemed easy enough, so I removed the top left light housing to access the fog light beneath. In the tutorial they removed the cable then twisted off the bulb, however to my surprise there was no cable attached... I could just twist and remove the bulb. No wonder it didn't work. Now realising why it didn't work I had a look around the cavity and there was no cable in sight. There were other cables but they were all plugged into things or going off somewhere else.

The reason I talked about the Cat C and attached those images was because I was trying to figure out why there was no cable and it reminded me of the history of the car. I dug out those photos to see where the damage was, but the left side looks alright. I presumed that maybe the person who refurbished the car had taken it out for some reason but now I'm not completely sure looking back at these photos. Unfortunately I put the bulb back in and fitted the light housing back into the car and forgot to take any photos of the area, which I probably should have but completely forgot.

Anyway, is there any way to get a fog light cable? Like is there anywhere that can fit them or is it even possible to get one at all?
