Ford Fiesta 09 USB Fitting

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a ford fiesta 09 plate titanium. It has Bluetooth and voice control, but although my phone connects through spotify as 'ford audio' and shows a connection on the car display no sound actually comes out. From what I can gather, this is because I don't have the usb port where the AUX connection is. My question is: can a usb port be added easily and do I need to go to Ford or a specialist garage for this?

I have looked into having a touch screen multimedia radio installed so I can use audio with Bluetooth but for the stereo, facia kit and installation I was quoted £590. So ideally if I could just get a usb added cheaper and still have the Bluetooth audio function I would rather do this.

thanks 🙂

The USB port in the centre console is just an extension lead from the module behind the glove box, so you'll most likely need the unit replaced with a newer one and possibly Forscan to update the car to let it know that its there.
