How to identify engine

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

Just wondering if anyone knows how I can identify which engine is in the car, 100ps or 125ps 1.0 ecoboost, the salesman said it's a 125ps as he remembers the origional owner spec it but when I did a car check report it said 100ps.

Is there any markings on engine that could tell me which version is in it ?

Thanks

Simple really, is it a 5 speed gearbox or a 6 speed?

100 is a 5 speed

125 is a 6 speed

Hi. It's a 2016 6 speed. I thought you can get 100ps in 6 speed also no ?

Go onto We Buy Any Car and enter the reg, shouldgiveyou the specs, or any insurance comparison site

If it has the eco button on the steering wheel it's the 125ps.

On mine there's a little plate you can see when the driver's door is open. That tells you various bits of info on tyre pressures etc and includes the power output of the engine.

Thanks guys, I looked at the plate inside door and it says 125ps so happy about that 😄
