Interesting to get a review of the 1.1 as most UK reviews do the Ecoboost engines.

Saying that, apart from the fiesta handling well and the fuel economy not being great, the review seemed more of a description of what the car can have and what the features are than an actual review

    I purchased a 1.1 mk8 Fiesta in sept 17. It was the 85ps model 5spd box and was a great car. Mpg in high 40's but the only problem was it lacked 'go'. To get any decent acceleration it was planting it in 2nd before 3rd.

    Happier with my new car now like but good little motor and very very good on fuel - unlike my new ecoboost 😂

    The Ecoboost’s turbo provides that go that is often missing, especially in the lower powered vehicles. Don’t know why, but i really like the concept of a basic 1.1 85ps. Simple engine in a great car. 

    Like you say though, for all the go the turbo provides - definitely likes a gulp of fuel to go with it 😛
