Mk7 Zetec S Dull Thud

Featured Replies

Morning folks,

I have just bought myself a 2009 Zetec S 1.6 Petrol with 51k on the clock.

There seems to be a really annoying dull thud sound from what seems to be the rear right hard side.

Any known issue, or do we think possibly a shocker?

Tried the back seats down, so ruled the catch making a noise, and ive taken everything out the boot too.

Apart from that, its a great car, and its nice to get one thats unmolested, and totally standard.

Thanks

Steve

Shocker or top mounting would be my best guess.

Yeah, i was heading down that route.

Realised this morning that its more prominent when going slower, doesn't really do it when at speed...job for the B/Hol weekend!
