Hi all. I've recently noticed my driver door on my mk6 fiesta closes but the light on the dashboard screen says its open but the door is shut also it does lock when it "open" I'm thinking it could be the latch but not sure just wondering if anyone has had this issue before, thank you all for your time

Try lots of WD40 into the door lock from all angles, lots it will run out the bottom of the door. Try to aim down and back. Work lock a few times. It worked on my 2008 mk6. Repeat in a few days. leave for a week or so and spray liquid grease or Silicone grease in abundance into lock. Wipe off open a can.
