Focus ST 2.0 Ecoboost Oil?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm Nathan. I'm brand new to this forum and Ford in general. Just moved from a 2003 MX5 to a 2012 Focus ST.

Absolutely loving the car so far. Torque steer is new to me having come from RWD but the car is so fun and comfortable.

I only got the car a little over a week ago and it didn't come with an owners manual unfortunately, and the one on the Ford website doesn't seem to be for my exact car.

My question is, what oil do you guys recommend I use? So far I can see it's normally 5-20? Some recommend 5-30 with it being a turbo and having higher temperatures?

I won't be red lining it all the time, but I do like to accelerate sometimes so temps may occasionally be higher than usual.

Thanks in advance for your advice :)

Nathan

Stick with the 5W20.
Best is Castrol Magnatec Start-Stop.
You need just over 5 1/2 litres.
