Fiesta Central Locking Issue

Featured Replies

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before and solved it as have searched the forum and not found this specific issue.

The central locking works fine with the key in the drivers door, all doors lock and unlock but when using the fob, all doors lock but drivers door will not unlock.

I have stripped the door down and you can see the mechanism locking on the door but nothing when unlocking.

I have tried another unit from a breakers yard from the same year of car but made no difference.

Its a 2006 Fiesta 1.25 style 5 door.

Thanks for any advice.

It sounds to me like a wiring fault between the BCM and the door. First area I would try to investigate would be where the wires flex in the hinge area.

Hi

Thanks for reply, checked the hinge area and inside the rubber sleeve was 4 broken wires, all soldered up and seems to be working fine now.

Many thanks
