Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI 2006 Error codes

Featured Replies

Hi all

Engine management light on for about 6 months now
Cleared by a garage but came back on after 15 miles

Got a reader loaned to me to read the codes

So I have got

P0069-00
P0236-00
P0238-00

P0069-E0
P0236-E0
P0238-E0

P0238-F0

I cleared them on Wednesday evening. Clear on my commute in to work (46 miles) on Thursday including one stop.

Got in to come home and light back on

Can anyone help with my potential problem please, any help appreciated

Thanks

What codes came on after you cleared them all? If you Google the code it will generally give you common fixes. It's just as easy to do it yourself rather than me tell you lol.

Codes when cleared went.

I haven't had chance to re-check but im sure they will be the same

The codes you cleared may have been accumulated over years. Not all codes cause light to come on and could be very historic. I find it quite annoying that the system does not hold the date when it last occurred. I would not have thought it would have been difficult for the car makers to do that.

It really needs the codes read again.

at least you wont fail the MOT just on the light being on as for Diesel cars prior to 2008 that failure point does not apply (although recently my brother had to point this out to the MOT tester - the MOT tester checked and agreed and said he had not noticed that in the rules)
