2010 focus 1.6tdci - error messages and not starting

I'm pretty sure all of the 1.6 TDCi's have a DPF by 2010.  All 110bhp models had them from 2004, but the 90bhp models didn't have one until around 2009.

With hydraulic power steering I think that engine is actually from a PSA car rather than a Ford!  Can't imagine the 8v ever came with hydraulic PAS either so presumably it is the 16v version from a Picasso or 407 for example.  The DPF is the same shape though.

Hi, I have a 2005 (55 reg) 110 bhp which was made in late July 2005 which does not have a DPF i.e Euro 3. When I used to put in the Transport for London ULEZ website it was showing has Euro 4 but it was wrong.

Also 3 1/2 years ago mine went into Limp mode and was checked by two different mechanics who [plugged in their laptops ] both said DPF problems. I told the second one [ bosch diesel specialist ]  'that could be difficult due to not having one', he renewed the software and changed the fuel filter. No further problems.

I shall monitor things for now and once again try to get to grips with Forscan this weekend. The fact my main problem of the car cutting out appears to be solved I'm pretty happy with things. Thanks for your help Peter and the other folks who have messaged, I've learnt quite a bit so far. I give an update when I use Forscan.
