Diesel Drips

Featured Replies

I filled the new car up today and some diesel spilled down the side of the car, not much but enough to leave some streaks. Can this damage the paint? Are there any special wipes I could buy just for cleaning up small things like this off the body? I've had a look, but so far I can only find interior wipes.

This would almost certainly strip any wax/sealant protection from the car. I tend to grab a bit paper towel and soak it up straight away if it ever happens. Not sure on any wipes that are available on the market, how about a QD and a Microfibre handy in the glovebox/boot? Would be useful for a few things, bird droppings etc

Thanks. What about the spray from screen washer or is that a bit overkill? I've noticed the screen washer seems to streak all the way down the bonnet and it's very noticeable on the black. I will have to stock up on some cleaning products tomorrow.

I always try to avoid using my screenwash for the streaks, but in this weather its a bit hard not to use it :(

You could always give Thesea go for a quick solution.

Thanks for the link, they are quite cheap so I may have to buy some :) I think the only problem I have with the car is keeping it clean :D
