Fiesta mk7 1.4i jerk

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i got some problem  with Fiesta 2009 Titanium 1.4i

When I swiftly press or depress the accelerator I get a pretty sever "bump" or "jerk" feeling. When I press the accelerator, it's one jerk. When I release, it's one jerk followed by one smaller. When AC is on this problem is even worst, rly hard to drive in low revv in city...  fuel consuption ok, no strange noise from engine....

I have this problem for long time, till now i know:

transmision ok (new)
Clutch ok (new)
Colil pack, spark plugs ok (all new)

Cleaned throtle body, and MAP
Also i used Abro Injector cleaner

So any ideas? Can be O2 sensor problem?

Check your engine mounts

This is a Ford quirk unfortunately, they all seem to be a bit jerky at low speed, regardless of engine.  This can be exacerbated by worn engine mounts though, particularly the lower mount (dog bone) so I'd check for movement in that with a pry bar personally.

Down engine mount is new original one, replaced today... upper one on transmision is ok like new.. hidro mount on belt side i dont know how to check...

Also today i cleaned pcv valve and i seen little oil in intake manifold... its coming from pcv valve not from air filter..

Also in test mode i got this code p0130 but i never get check engine light on, can be o2 sensor problem here, again no check engine light on

Did you manage to get to the bottom of this fault?

Mine has this jerk under the pedal too..

I have replaced Coil Pack and leads out of courtesy anyway, but made no difference, and its had a full service lately too.

Im going to clean the MAF tonight see if thats an issue, and hopefully get it scanned too.

Id personally be tempted with an O2 Sensor...but a scan for codes may be cheaper.
