Featured Replies

2011 fiesta aircon makes a random metalic popping sound?

aircon works perfect. is this normal?

Do you mean inside the car or outside? Plus it it more a rattle?

When was your last aircon service?

And I don’t have this (and no idea if any do) is it manual or climate control?

the sound is in the engine bay front left by where the belts are. sounds like a hiss of pressure build then a loud  metallic pop.

no idea when it was serviced as just bought with no history but its only done 20k

and its manual.

The sound you are hearing is the compressor clutch clicking to engage the compressor, if it’s happening quite frequently then at a guess I’d say you have a small refrigerant leak or your system just needs re-gassed

oh ok so it's normal then?

i was driving from wales good few miles then stopped at services with engine running it done it quite a lot like 10 times in 15 min?

is that because i was stationary?

Normal for a system that needs a check over perhaps. If it is leaking you’ll put load on the compressor and will start causing harm. I’d get a regas and see if it’s leaking as suggested
